TRADITION, EXPERIENCE, ON TIME
Netbus’ belief in tradition, experience and punctuality hasn’t changed since the small family business established itself in 1960. Back then, Netbus was
under the name of Thingvallaleid, running a regularly scheduled bus charter from Reykjavik to the Thingvellir National Park.
In 1969 the fishing village of Grindavik soon became a second destination, and then in 1987 the Blue Lagoon was added since it was on route. Today, the Blue Lagoon natural spa is part of daily
operation, with five scheduled visits per day.
2007 saw the family company change its name from Thingvallaleid to Netbus. Showing progression, this change saw the addition of the Golden Circle Tour a year later, with trips to Geysir, Gullfoss and
Thingvellir, as well as offering airport transfers and tailor made tours upon request.
Now for 2010, Netbus consists of a fleet of 14 minibuses and coaches with daily transfers across Iceland. To this day, the Netbus family still maintains its tradition, experience and
punctuality.
